Raised ﬂoors, also called “ﬂoating ﬂoors”, are modular systems traditionally used for the ﬂooring of interiors and that today are also being used for outdoor applications.
Devised to solve the problems relating to ofﬁce planning and to create an easily accessible gap below the treading surface, this system consists of: a bearing structure, a support panel and surface cladding, for which rectiﬁed porcelain stoneware slabs prove to be perfect.
These ﬂoors are often completed using 60×60 cm slabs, but they can also be made to adapt to other sizes, ranging from 30 cm to 120 cm.

During the production process of ceramic tiles there can be waste of unfired materials.
This waste can be reused in the production process during the preparation of the mix in order to reduce the environmental impact without compromising the quality of finished products.
The rectification is a process in which the tile edges are perfectly squared.
In this way it is possible to install adjacent tiles with minimum grout lines.
Rectified single work-size tiles mean that the tile edges are perfectly straight and with a single size of sides regardless of different production lots.
REGULARITY FEATURES (ISO 10545-2)
These features determine the suitability of a batch of tiles for the creation of a regular tiled surface.
The tiles of a single batch may contain small differences of size and appearance; this is unavoidable, nevertheless, such differences do not compromise the regularity of the tiled surface and allow for minimum grout line installations.
Regularity features are the following:
• Length and width. Dimension of tile sides
• Orthogonality. It is measured by checking that the sides of a tile are at right angles
• Planarity. It determines the concave shift or the convex shift of the surface of use of the tile from the optimum flatness of the tile itself. The surface planarity is defined on the basis of three different measurements taken from three different positions on the surface of the tiles, and particularly:
• At the centre of the tile (Centre curvature)
• At the edge of the tile (Edge curvature)
• On the angle of the tile (Warping)
