A pediatric hospital designed by Renzo Piano

With a cross shape approach inspired by the historic Ca Granda del Filarete in Milan, Atlas Concorde participated in the project for the new pediatric hospital in Uganda, commissioned by Emergency.

Thanks to the support of the Ugandan Ministry of Health and international partners, EMERGENCY built a pediatric surgery center on the shores of Lake Victoria, designed and conceived by the architect Renzo Piano
Destined to become a point of reference for African surgical pediatrics, the project attentively addresses issues of hygiene, from the identification of a green, healthy site situated at 1,200 meters above sea level to the choice of materials used. Among these, of particular note are the Atlas Concorde concrete-effect collections used in the floors and walls of the hospital's corridors and operating rooms. In addition to their appealing textures and esthetic charm, porcelain tiles are by nature a healthy material that’s easy to clean and requires no special maintenance. Resistant to shocks and surface wear, they’re totally hypoallergenic: free of toxins and allergens, they don’t emit any VOCs or formaldehyde, and are therefore the ideal solution for medical environments.
The issue of hygiene and healthiness is extremely important to Atlas Concorde, which has always been committed to creating collections that combine beauty with the values of ceramics.

Cultural Atmosphere. The new looks of points of sale
Cultural Atmosphere. The new looks of points of sale
Far from having lost relevance in the retail landscape as a result of the widespread global deployment of omnichannel sales strategies, brick-and-mortar retail has reinforced its role as an essential touchpoint not only for people but also for brands and chains. And it is also thanks to this progressive multiplication of shopping options both on and offline that many retailers have been pushing to redefine their points of sale, seeking innovative solutions and aiming to involve consumers through new, appealing engagement strategies.

A refined material with a mineral heart that blurs the boundaries between indoors and outdoors. This is Atlas Concorde's Boost Mineral collection, inspired by the stone of the Ardennes, which with its fine grain and compact color marked by sediment built up over thousands of years proves to be a tool for contemporary projects, where surfaces take on the role of a continuum, a unifying element capable of ensuring total harmony between the indoors and the outdoors, between home and garden/terrace, between patio and pool.

Testoni chose Via del Gesù, between Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga, in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, to tell the story of the elegance and extreme beauty of its handcrafted shoes, celebrated worldwide since 1929. In that year Amedeo Testoni founded his first workshop in Bologna, a city where the brand has always had strong roots. Designed by the MAPA studio based in Perugia, a style recalling the brand’s origins in Bologna was one of the focuses for the development of the concept for the Milanese shop.
