Milano Museo City 2026

22 January 2026

In 2026, Atlas Concorde will once again participate in Milano Museo City, the widespread event promoted by the Municipality of Milan in collaboration with the Museo City Association, which every year enhances the artistic, historical and cultural heritage of the city through an open dialogue between institutions, exhibition spaces and places of urban life. The 2026 edition of Milano Museo City will take place in conjunction with the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, a moment of particular international importance for the city, which reinforces the role of culture as a connecting element between urban space, identity and contemporary vision. As part of the programme, Atlas Concorde is taking part in the special project “In Vetrina” (In the Window), which transforms Milan into an ephemeral museum: a series of site-specific installations distributed among shop windows and galleries, conceived as temporary cultural devices capable of bringing art into the everyday space of the city.

For the 2026 edition, which opens on Friday 6 February, Atlas Concorde presents a project created in collaboration with Eredi Nanda Vigo, a visionary artist who has worked across art, architecture and design, placing light as the primary element of perceptual, spatial and existential research.

The installation will be hosted at Atlas Concorde Studio Milano and will remain open to visitors until 5 March.

Within the space, the luminous works of Nanda Vigo interact with the Atlas Concorde surfaces, creating an environment in which light, matter and perception act as a single system. The ceramic collections are not intended as simple surfaces, but as sensitive devices capable of absorbing, reflecting and modulating light, activating a dynamic reading of the space made up of refractions, geometries and optical-spatial vibrations. The project develops through three conceptual nuclei, in which works and materials interact according to different modes of perception. The works Sun-Ra Eternity, Sun-Ra Bird and Sun-Ra Life are kindly provided by JCP Universe.

Sun-Ra Eternity embodies the cyclical nature of time: a light with no beginning and no end that expands like a continuous, generative energy. This vision is echoed in the large Sky Stone slabs by Atlas Plan, the marble-effect collection inspired by the precious quartzite of Brazil.

Sun–Ra Bird presents itself as a totemic figure, a luminous gesture that seems to cross space. Travertino Halo White by Atlas Plan, in its luminous elegance, offers the ideal dimension to welcome and reflect this vertical tension. Sun–Ra Bird suggests momentum, Halo White stability. Together, they create a dynamic balance in which light and matter become a single narrative

Sun–Ra Life, with its soft, diffused light, expands the space, broadening its perception and gradually revealing nuances and depths. It is the ideal context for Atlas Plan's large Taj Mahal Noisette slabs, a surface rich in veins and warm tones, capable of expressing a sophisticated and timeless purity.

The installation will also feature the iconic scale prototype Trigger of Space by Nanda Vigo, which acts as a true perceptual device: points of refraction and orientation that multiply perspectives and invite observation of the material from ever-changing angles. Completing the space are the Cronotopi, with which Nanda Vigo has developed a philosophical exploration of the concepts of time and space. With this participation, Atlas Concorde renews its commitment to the dialogue between artistic research and contemporary design, bringing the culture of materials into the urban space and transforming the showroom into a place of experience, observation and active perception.
